A PLACE TO SEE & LEARN ABOUT WOLVES

Interpretive Programs

Visitors to our Wolf Centres in Golden and Panorama take part in a 20-minute interpretive program about wolves. Winter or summer, spring or fall, the fun takes place at the wolf enclosure, so it's a chance to see wolves up close... hear them... watch them move like a ghost through the trees... and learn many fascinating facts about wolves.

If you've ever wondered why wolves howl, or if it's true that they howl at the full moon... or if you've ever been accused of "wolfing down" your food... then pay us a visit and take a step closer to understanding a little more about these very important predators.

Classroom visits or Field Trips to our Centre

Why is it important to have an ambassador wolf?  So many of us grow up listening to fairy tales, reading stories, and watching movies that teach us to be afraid of wolves... that wolves are dangerous and vicious, and they eat people. Our educational programs teach students about wolves and address the myth of the Big Bad Wolf.

Our ambassador wolves are Aspen, Wiley, and Moab.  They have visited schools in the Columbia Valley and beyond, including Golden, Banff, Canmore, and Calgary - helping us show students that wolves are much nicer than we think, and just how important they are to a healthy environment.

In March 2006, Wiley is scheduled to visit some students in Kimberley. If you would like a wolf to visit your school, then find out if the school board allows it and give us a shout for specific details.

Presentations are tailored to age group and curriculum.

The attached information is priced for a fun and educational lesson.
